The Truths of Living in the Southern Hemisphere in the Christmas Holidays!

As it is coming up to Christmas I have been looking back at past Christmas' and have come to realize that their are both perks and troubles of living in the Southern Hemisphere, specifically New Zealand, at Christmas time. I thought I would share 5 Perks and  5 Troubles with you! Perks 1. It's always warm.  In New Zealand December is almost the middle of summer which guarantees Christmas Day to be sunny and hot. I have never lived through any Christmas Day in New Zealand where it rains! This great weather is very helpful with celebrations! 2. Cold drinks are amazing!  When you have been sitting out in the sun for hours on end and are given a Coca-Cola straight from the chilly bin, your face will light up. When I was little the chilly bin also served as a fun game of who can keep there hand submerged for the longest. Even as I get older this is an intriguing game! 3. End of the school year In New Zealand Mid-December is the end of the school year. When

Taylor Swift 1989 Review

Image
Taylor Swift's new album 1989 has recently come out and now that I have had a little bit of time to listen to all of the songs I thought that I would share my thoughts with you. I have really enjoyed listening to all of the songs and I struggle to find one that I don't like. I love the sound of the music although different to her older albums I think that she has evolved with her music and it still suits her style.  Some of the songs that I am constantly singing in my head are - Wonderland, Wildest Dreams and Blank Space. They are all very catchy and both peaceful and exciting. I love Taylor Swift's music and this album is amazing.  Her newest music video for Blank Space is really well made and I like how in the video parts of the song lyrics are telling the story as if it has been made for the video. I really love this album and I think that it is one of her best. I hope that she goes on a 1989 tour  and comes to New Zealand because I would certai

Lush Cupcake Fresh Face Mask

Image
I have used this mask for quite a long time now and I can assure you that it is really great. The pot that it comes in is a bit on the small side but because of it's thick consistency, a little goes a long way. This face mask really makes my skin soft and cleansed. I put it on just before I hop into the bath so that it has enough time to work it's magic! The smell of this Cupcake face mask is absolutely amazing, it looks and smells like chocolate cupcake batter and I am always so tempted to eat it!  I really recommend this product if you have slightly oily skin like me or if you love the delicious smell of cupcakes. I use this face mask about once or twice a week and I really love it. The only downside is that when you take it off with a light coloured flannel it might stain it brown.   I bought this product at my local lush shop and so far it has lasted me about four months. It isn't too pricey and it is a really great product. I haven't tried many other fa

My New Discovery - Water !!!

Image
I know lots of people have raved about this in the past but up until recently I haven't really thought that it would help much. Having naturally oily skin it is difficult to get rid of those annoying spots on my face. Since I have started drinking lots of water those spots have almost completely gone. My face also now has a nice natural healthy glow. Some people that try this drinking water thing drink outrageous amounts a day and I can only imagine how many trips to the toilet this would cause. I personally didn't think that I would be able to commit to that big task, so I started out with a goal to drink one glass of water every time I walk into the kitchen. This is usually 4 - 5 times a day so it wasn't to difficult. I also carry around a medium sized water bottle when I am out and about. I am so glad that I decided to drink water I have found that as well as the many health benefits, it has made be feel super energetic and just generally happy. If you haven&#

Commonwealth Games

Image
The Commonwealth Games have recently ended and now I have no idea what to do with my extra time. I have come to the conclusion that I had become very attached to these games. It amazes me at how some people are so fantastic at their sports and it is making me feel like I should start synchronized diving with my best friend.  Although this will probably never happen, it's the thought that counts right? Anyway the athletes that have participated in the Commonwealth Games have really inspired me to put a lot more effort into what I love to do. I have decided to post more things on this blog and to try and show you a bit more of my life.  I am so sad that the Games are over and cant wait until they happen again in four more years. Please comment if you agree (or not). Zoe

My Lush Addiction

Since I have moved into the city I have had a lot more opportunities to go shopping. When I lived in the countryside the closest mall was 45 minutes away. Me and my family would make that trip about once or twice a month so the availability of shopping was not very good.  Now that I live in the city I can just catch a bus down to the mall. With this new form of transport now available to me I am able to look at all of the shops, try on everlasting clothes and smell all of the unusual and yummy smells coming out of Lush. Previously I had not been exposed to the wonderful, glorious and sometimes a bit overwhelming smell of Lush. So I was amazed at all of the products and the ethics that this place had. At first I was a bit shy as of what to do in this shop but the cheerful  manager came over and helped me decide what I wanted to buy. I smelled numerous different bath bombs and bubble bars and finally settled on one. I had the most magical bath and as my Birthday was

A Little Bit About Me

Hi my name is Zoe and this is my, hopefully amazing, or just entertaining blog . I am going to post about what I am currently loving and what is happening in my life. I might also give some advice on things.  Some of the things that I really love are Lush, Shopping and Netball. I have two sisters, one older and one younger. They are like my best friends even when I am not really enjoying being around them. We laugh lots and always have a great time.  I live in New Zealand and it is so beautiful here. I love it so much but sometimes don't appreciate how lucky I am as much as I probably should. I used to live in the countryside and now live in the city. It was a very big change but I really love being so busy and it makes me feel very grown up. I really hope you enjoy reading my blog or just like to laugh at the things I write. Zoe
